Denomination: 25Underground Post of Ukraine (abbreviated PPU) is the name of an unrecognized postal office within the Foreign Postal Department of the Overseas Parts of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalist Revolutionaries (OUNR), which issued Ukrainian non-state postage stamps abroad in 1949-1983 for propaganda purposes while Ukraine was occupied by USSR.Camp post offices served the residents of Ukrainian DP camps (displaced persons) in Germany in 1947-1950 and in the camp of prisoners of war of the 1st Ukrainian Division of the Ukrainian National Army in Rimini (Italy) in 1946-1947. These camps issued their own stamps and stamps and cashed them with their stamps, running a postal service in their area. All these stamps functioned differently, most often as a kind of souvenir merch. They were pasted on letters and parcels next to state postage stamps.
