The preface states:On October 8, 1977, we took on the responsibility of hosting the 26th National Convention. Thanks to the dedicated cooperation and efforts of many, we were able to bring this event to fruition. In particular, we received full support from the Osaka and Kyoto branches for the exhibition, and with the addition of numerous renowned pieces from Hyogo Prefecture, we were able to present over 200 items, including National Treasures, Important Cultural Properties, significant works of art, and notable swords. Furthermore, we were fortunate to exhibit a collection of outstanding sword fittings and small tools, many of which are also designated as Important Cultural Properties. As the head of the hosting branch, this outcome has been beyond my greatest expectations, and I am deeply grateful. I would also like to express my sincere thanks to the many collectors who, despite being passionate enthusiasts, generously offered their precious, privately held items for display.As a memento of this convention, we have compiled a catalog of all the items exhibited, which we will present to all of you. The catalog includes photographs of National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties, while rubbings of the important artworks and swords are also featured. For the important artworks, we took the extra step of transporting each piece to the Association’s headquarters, where the young members painstakingly created detailed rubbings by hand.
