Description: This 1985 Charvel/Jackdon Crackle guitar features a solid body type with maple neck material and rosewood fretboard material. It has 22 frets and a 6 string configuration, perfect for any professional performance level. The guitar is right-handed and includes a new Gator case for easy transportation. The model year of this guitar is 1985, and it was made in Japan. The brand is Charvel/Jackson and it falls under the categories of musical instruments and electric guitars. With its unique crackle design, this guitar is sure to stand out in any collection. 1985 was previous to Charvels official " Model" line. The 1985 Charvrl Jackson catalog shows a much wider selection of guitars and custom paint styles and finishes. Essentially, at that time, they had much more freedom to create variations of their guitar models. By 1986 & 87, they had buckled down and started in ernest the Model 1,2,3,4,5,6'series. They also offered less paint options as they had in 1985 to standardize their processes because they were selling more guitars. You won't see as many 1985 Charvel/Jackson guitars because simply they didn't make as many of them. As shown in the 1985 Charvel/Jackson catalog there were many experiments and prototypes. I believe this is one of the very first Cracles ever made by Charvel. And possibly a hi- brid of Charvel and Jackson. A precursor to the Model 4. The guitar is in excellent condition. I can't call it mint mostly because I lost a screw on the lock nut when I was changing the strngs. I WILL find it and update the listing when I do.
