There are numerous inset plans on the reverse side, including Saginaw, Port Huron, Lansing, Muskegon, Grand Rapids, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, Detroit, Flint, Ann Arbor, Battle Creek, Holland, Marquette, Monroe, and Bay City. The map was issued in 1991 by the Michigan Department of Transportation and is dated in the legend. The photograph on the front cover shows the "Big Red" lighthouse at the south side of the Holland Channel. There's a photo of the Capitol Building on the back cover, with a message from Governor John Engler and a list of members of the State Transportation Commission.
