1997 Fender USA Collectors Edition Stratocaster Electric Guitar

Description: 1997 Fender USA Collectors Edition Stratocaster 3-Tone SunburstGold Hardware Electric Guitar Made in the USA Includes: Guitar, Case Candy, Strap and Cable, Hang Tag and Original Case I bought this guitar online brand new from a music store in Philadelphia. It appears that the guitar has never been played. This collectors edition strat is a re-issue of a '62. It features an alder body, rosewood fingerboard, and gold plated hardware. The build of the year of the guitar is "1997" also inlayed at the 12th fret. The neck and body are a vintage 1962 style. We cannot see any dings or dents anywhere on the body or neck. The frets are in great condition with no playwear anywhere that we can see and the strings could be changed. There is still a red sticker over the tremolo bridge plate showing the tremolo bar has never been inserted. The case candy is unopened. Only 1,997 of these guitars were made, this one being 1,484. The color is 3-Tone Sunburst. What looks like scratches on the pickguard appears to be buffing marks straight across the pickguard due to polishing before the guitar was assembled. The gold neck plate is a Collector’s Edition plate that is starting to show signs of tarnishing.All electronics check out. This case came with the guitar and is the original 1997 Fender Collectors Edition Tolex case with gold plush lining. All hardware is rusting but working great and feet are intact.
