For your consideration is a 1999 King Features Syndicate Universal Studios "Islands of Adventure" Popeye watch, Limited Edition #1684/2000, from Hearst Corp. It does need a new battery. The face of the watch features Popeye holding up a can of spinach in a silver tone. I can see a reflection on the left and right inside that has a little gold tone. Popeye is not just a flat image. It is raised up for dimension. The crystal looks great. I can't really see any scratches. The back of the watch is marked with the date, maker and LE numbers, also saying Japan. The band shows a little wear near where the watch fastens to the band. On the little buckle, there is a flap that pops up and perhaps could just be tacked back down, minimal. The black leather band is definitely wearable. A very nice Popeye watch for collectors! In my opinion, this could be a unisex watch. Enlarge and view the pictures as they are part of the description.
