19th C. Miniature Watercolor Portrait Painting, Lady with Red Bow (#2)

Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely 19th Century framed miniature watercolor portrait painting of a young woman wearing a low cut dress with jewels in her hair. The portrait has delicate, precise hand painted features wearing jewels in her hair and a red bow tied around her neck. The oval portrait is held in place behind slightly convex glass with a brass/bronze bezel and is mounted in a mother-of-pearl banded hand-cut piano key frame of the period with an attachment at top for hanging. The frame measures 4 1/2" high, 4" wide and 1/2" deep with the oval site measuring 1 3/4" by 1 3/8". Weighs 2.7 ounces. The painting is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. There is some minor separation and faint cracks on the frame (see photos).
