Description: Handmade Lampwork beads are made one at a time by heating a cane or rod of glass over a flame torch and then applying the molten glass around a mandrel. The bead is held over the flame while it is worked on and cooled slowly to strengthen the glass. Each set has 11 beads with a larger rondell in the center and the same size beads on each side. The emerald set is similar with a middle bead of 7 x 13mm graduating to 5 x 8mm at the ends. Again, every other bead is sparkly inside. The days of wine and roses set is different as beads alternate from light to dark and with four 7 x 11mm beads alternating with 6 x 10mm beads.
