Description: 2 Large Green Beehive Stemmed Romer Wine Glasses Grape Leaf Design Pair Set "Roemers" are a type of German glassware that originates in style from when the Romans occupied Germany beginning some 2,000 years ago. Not able to import delicate glassware over the thousands of miles, the soldiers created a distinctive wine glass with a clear bowl (to see the wine) and a stem that was formed by coiling molten glass around a cone. This style has literally thousands of years of history behind it! These are larger glasses than one usually sees with Romers - they hold a good 8 oz each and stand 5 3/8 inches high. Likely produced by noted German glassmaker Schott-Zwiesel. Excellent pre-owned condition, no chips or cracks. Some slight scuffs commensurate with light previous use. Clean, hand washed and ready to use or display. Shipped quickly and packed with great care. Because of the practical difficulty of packing and shipping fragile glass items, we do not accept returns. Review all information carefully so you are sure of your purchase. Because we love vintage items, we pack glassware with the utmost of care, with multiple layers of bubble wrap, additional padding, and Fragile stickers. Breakage has been very, very rare, less than 1% of our shipments. However, we can't prevent rough handling, machine damage, or misdirection once the shipping service has it in their hands. Packages are insured for their sold price, excluding shipping costs, and all refunds due to breakage will be divided by the number of items in the package (i.e. no full refunds for one item broken out of a set.) Absolutely let us know if this happens! We will need photos of the broken item(s), packing and packaging before any insurance claim or refund. Note: we don't control shipping costs.
