Used with nails to secure the post cap connection between a wood column and a wood beam. Should only be installed with 316 Stainless Steel Nails to maintain product warranty. Each End Post Cap is a two-piece design, requiring two (2) for proper installation, for installing to the tops of posts on the perimeter of a deck where the meeting of the post and beam forms an upside down "L" shape. Because the two (2) pieces that make up the assembly are separate, the post they can be installed upon may have a variable width which means the width of the beam can also be variable. All Decking Post Cap Anchors in this selection are made of 316 Stainless Steel for superior corrosion resistance. 316 Stainless Steel is well suited for applications in severe, harsh, or marine environments. Not recommended for fence posts or other unrestrained (not fixed or fastened at top) applications. These anchors are not designed to resist overturning (moment) loads.
