The titles are "Sue - Bah" (top) and the rare "Yosie - the Squash Blossom" (bottom). Photos can't do justice to these beautiful items. Each has a paper label attached to the back, under the secure hanging hook, that gives product and cleaning information. Plate stands are not part of this auction Artist: R.C. Gorman, Native American (1932-2005). Rudolph Carl Gorman was an artist of the Navajo Nation, often referred to as "the Picasso of American Indian artists." Born in Canyon de Chelly, Arizona and raised in a hogan on the Navajo Reservation, R.C. Gorman became one of the Southwest's best known late 20th-century artists. His signature works were strong Navajo women in fluid forms and vibrant colors. Source: Online research Manufacturer: A.R.T. Co. Material: Pottery/ceramic tile; acrylic "crystal" surface; paper labels; metal hook Surface: Smooth, shiny fronts and edges; unglazed, textured backs Technique: Each fine art print is mounted on a heavy ceramic or red-clay tile and has a clear acrylic surface. The manufacturer refers to this product as "crystal tile." Features: Glossy, clear acrylic surface over quality fine art prints; heavy red clay ceramic tile body; securely attached hanging hook; shiny black print border and tile edges; informative paper manufacturer's label on back. Condition: Very good pre-owned vintage condition. There are no major chips, cracks, corner or edge wear. Each has surface scratches and minor surface dings and corner wear. The gold tone could be partially from age, but it's hard to tell. Items come as found and have not been cleaned or polished. Front surfaces can be cleaned safely with any window cleaner, per online research, but any cleaning or polishing will be left to the winner. The paper labels show some age and wear. Please see photos. Any other irregularities would be from the manufacturing process. Most of our items are estate finds and are in good to excellent used condition.
