WHITE SPOTS AND STREAKS ARE REFLECTIONS AND GLARE FROM THE LIGHTING. They measure 5 7/8ths inches square by a 1/4 inch thick. Each weighs 8 ounces. Natural cork on the backs. No cracks, chips, gouges or stains. I find no flaws on this set. This lovely and well-composed set of tiles is clean, bright and ready for display.
