2000 Fender Mexico Deluxe Series Powerhouse Strat Candy Apple Red

Description: 2000 Fender Mexico Deluxe Series Powerhouse Strat Candy Apple Red Metallic Electric Guitar Made in Mexico Includes: Guitar Only and Tremolo Bar I purchased this loaded body minus the tremolo online in 2001 and paired it up with maple Deluxe Series Strat neck that I had. I also upgraded the guitar to a big block Fender tremolo system that was used from another guitar from my collection. The nickel plated saddles are twice stamped Fender in the same direction which I believe they are Japan or Korean made. This was one of my “go to” guitars when I was playing in a band, so it is used but not abused. There is one large dent on the body front close to middle pickup. (please see photos) There are a few marks and scuffs along the bottom body edges from normal playwear. Also there are scratches on the pickguard and the tremolo back plate but nothing too deep. The frets are dirty but will clean up nicely; there is very little fret wear that we can see but the strings should be changed. This is set up for low action. The pickup setup has a dummy coil which hum cancels all of the stock alnico Strat pickups and electronics. The 12db active mid boost in the circuitry requires a 9v battery which is installed on the back of the body. All electronics check out. The Powerhouse Strat features an Alder body, satin finish C-shaped maple neck with maple fingerboard, 21 medium jumbo frets, vintage hardware, standard pickups, and 12dB active mid boost. This model is often referred to as a poor-man's Clapton Strat because of the battery-powered mid-boost. This guitar has a beautiful Candy Apple Red Metallic finish and has a highly sought-after maple fingerboard and a pearloid pickguard.
