Description: This sticker is from the 2008 Panini UEFA Euro McDonald’s Stickers set which was distributed as an exclusive in Europe only in McDonald’s Happy Meals. Only 7 stickers from the set have ever been submitted to PSA for grading, with this being the only gem mint 10. PSA 9 of this sticker sold in May 2021 for $347 in a PWCC auction. The sticker features Ronaldo in his debut senior national team #17 kit for one of the final times before his switch to the #7 shirt which marked the beginnings of the iconic CR7 brand. It also depicts Ronaldo with the captain’s armband for one of the first times, as he had assumed the role just a year prior to the 2008 UEFA European Championship in a 2007 friendly match against Brazil. The 2008 season marks as perhaps the most significant in Ronaldo’s career, reaching the pinnacle of the sport claiming both Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Player of the Year for the first time.
