Description: 2010-P Lincoln Shield Cent Stamped and Cancelled at the Lincoln Memorial The US Mint scheduled two official release events for this coin in Washington, DC and Springfield, Illinois on February 11, 2010. (Sorry but eBay will not allow any links to an external website.) Due to a major snowstorm that shut down Washington DC for days, the Washington release was postponed until February 25, 2010. You can see a news story on the CoinNews website about the rescheduling of this event. Again, we cannot provide a link here. Fortunately, we live close enough that we were able to attend the rescheduled Washington release. The roll in this listing was obtained by us at the rescheduled event and was then brought to the Post Office in the Lincoln Memorial for stamping and cancelling. The roll pictured is the exact roll that you will receive. As an extra bonus we will include a copy of the US Mint's sign which was displayed during the release event. Unlike previous release events we had attended, this was the only publicly available "documentation" present. We encourage you to take a look at the attached photos and admire it for yourself.
