Never Used SILVERBIRD HOTEL & CASINO POST CARDS In December of 1981, the Silverbird Hotel and Casino closed its doors following the death of the owner Major Riddle. It was previously called the Thunderbird until its purchase in 1976 and official re-opening in 1977. The estate eventually sold the hotel / casino to Ed Torres, who renamed it the El Rancho. These came from a sealed stock of 100 post cards identical all of them. They have been in storage for about 42 years and were from my late Mother's collection
