Description: These oyster plates are really cute! The indents for the oysters are shaped like spiral nautilus seashells. I'm not certain where they were made, but I think I read somewhere that they are French. The oyster plates are 8 inches in diameter. The oyster indents are around the edge of the plates and the center is empty and flat. Perhaps the oyster shells would stack there after they are emptied? (I don't know, I haven't tried it.) These oyster plates are in good condition with a few light scratches, and no cracks, but one plate has a rim flake in the dip between two scallops (so it isn't really obvious) that's about 7/8" long. The other two plates have a few spots of roughness in the mold seam on the inner edge of the rim. Together the three oyster plates weigh 3 pounds 9 1/2 ounces, so about 1 pound 3 ounces each. (If you need only one oyster plate, please contact me and I will consider splitting up the set.) These will be shipped by either UPS Ground or USPS Ground Advantage rate (except for International). Local delivery is always available for free to a mutually agreed upon meeting place. This cannot be shipped by UPS to a post office box.
