I have over 44 years' experience in high quality custom rebuilding starters, alternators and generators. This generator will fit any Ford Flathead V8 car engine from late 39' to 48', even if you don't need the threaded holes in the front bracket for a idler pulley. It has new brushes, brush springs and bearings. This generator can be polarized for either positive or negative ground. It has been bench tested and this generator puts out 35-40 amps at 14 Volts. This generator needs a 12-volt regulator, and I have them tested and ready to go for $120.00. I have other Flathead generators available in 12 volts, or I can convert yours.
