Description: 4 Haviland & Co Limoges France Schleiger 455D Wild Roses Luncheon Plates, 8.5" This is set of 4 beautifully hand painted plates produced in Limoges, France by Haviland & Co with wild roses in the pattern identified as Schleiger 455D. The plates feature delicate sprays of pink and blue wild roses with soft green foliage. The plate shape is known as the Star or 5 blank. The backstamps are Mark I, a green "Haviland France" for the blank which was used from 1894-1931. The decorator mark is Mark c, a red "Haviland & Co, Limoges" which was used from 1889-1931. These are luncheon plates with a diameter of about 8.5". They are lovely pieces which would mix and match well with other patterns. Three of the plates are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Plate 4 has one tiny nick at the rim. All plates have some light surface scratching from prior use as expected for their age. Please see all of the photos to judge the quality and condition of this set.
