Description: This 45 record features two solo songs sung by actor Peter O'Toole in the title role of "Goodbye, Mr. Chips", taken from the 1969 film's soundtrack: "Where Did My Childhood Go", and "What A Lot of Flowers". In the first, near the start of the film, he is reflecting on the passing of his youth as he looks out upon a schoolyard full of boy students. In the second, he is rejoicing at the joy brought about by his recent marriage. His performance in this film was Oscar-nominated, and his exceptional acting is fully realized in his singing performances as well ! The sound quality is scratchy due to some spotty surface flaws (see photos), but the record plays with no skips and the audio is clear. Paper sleeve has minor small tears on the top. The 45 is a promotional item, not offered for commercial sale when it was released. Consider it more of an odd collectible souvenir piece, not first-class audio. Music and Lyrics by Leslie Bricusse. Arranged and conducted by John Williams
