Description: This simple ram card takes the place of one of your 16k cards and provides an additional 496k of Axlon-compatible extended memory. Spartados X loves this for loading it's extended drivers, providing a very low MEMLO for greater compatibility with existing software. Software which takes advantage of Axlon memory will work out-of-the-box either as a ram disk or as directly-banked memory. You are buying the Atari 800 SRAM drive 512kb card ONLY. Anything else in this photo montage is for illustrative purposes; to demonstrate the ram card and to demonstrate how the wire is run to enable the added memory. You will need to run a single wire from pin 20 of IC A402 on your 10k rom board to supply the line needed to enable the 496k of memory as well as installing the card in the MIDDLE SLOT of your Atari 800. Without the wire, the card will run in any slot as a standard 16k ram board. Please examine the photos of the OS and ram boards showing the modification required. It should be plain, but to be thorough, this is NOT for the Atari 800XL but for the original Atari 800 computer.
