It is constructed of water-based acrylic adhesive and black and white co-extruded polyethylene film. Anti-Chafe Tape is used to protect sensitive areas of your boat or equipment from abrasion. This product provides excellent protection from abrasion during forming and in storage. Mr. ShrinkWrap's Anti-Chafe Tape is a high performance and protective form of masking tape. Anti-Chafe Tape is frequently placed between shrink wrap and the object being covered in order to prevent scratching or chafing. Anti-chafe tape is designed to be used under shrink wrap to prevent any type of chafing where the shrink wrap may rub as on the hull of the boat on painted surfaces or on Plexiglas. It has a light tack adhesive so it will not leave adhesive residue and is used only as a buffer.
