Description: These pivot/thrust washers are what I found to look the best and work the best for restoring straight razors. After experimenting with a few different thicknesses I found this size to work best. Thinner caused problems with the blade hitting the scales. Thicker you can just buy but they look terrible unless you like the look of thick pivot washers. These can't be purchased anywhere because I have them made to the specific size for straight razor restoration. This particular batch the center hole is a little snug for nickel silver rod but fits the brass rod fine. Only takes a few seconds to open it up enough to fit fine. The washers are stamped out of a solid brass sheet using a custom made die. They are de-burred in a tumbler for an extended period to remove any burr and also to round the outer edge a bit to give the appearance of a thinner washer. They're ready to use. They fit nicely between the blade and scales giving the appearance of a thinner washer. The size rod used to pin almost all straight razors is 1/16" or .0625" or 1.587mm diameter. The dimensions are: O.D. .260" I.D. .064" and thickness is between .010" & .011" Millimeter dimensions are: O.D. 6.6mm I.D. 1.63mm Thickness .26mm. ****************************** <
