Description: 8 CH. FIELD HAVILAND LIMOGES GDA FRANCE CHF19 6" BREAD & BUTTER PLATES. FLOWERS Item Description You are buying a set of eight (8) authentic, vintage (possibly antique) Charles Field Haviland "CHF19" bread and butter plates dating, approximately, from 1899 to 1930. These elegant, round, porcelain bread and butter plates are decorated with angular, leafy stems bearing yellow and white blossoms and purple violets. The website, Replacements, identifies this pattern as CHF19. The bottoms are labeled with "GDA France", "Ch. Field Haviland Limoges" and "J. McD. & S. Co" trademarks. The "GDA France" trademark is a maker's mark for the French, porcelain manufacturing company, Gerard, Dufraisseix and Abbot. Edgar Abbot joined the company in 1899. The "Ch. Field Haviland Limoges" trademark is a decorator's mark for Charles Field Haviland. The abbreviation "J. McD. & S. Co" stands for Jones, McDuffie & Stratton Company, a prestigious, Boston-based porcelain dealer. Each plate measures approximately 6-3/8 inches in diameter. These possibly century-old plates are in EXCELLENT condition. The colors are rich, and the details are distinct. The finish is lustrous. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, breaks or repairs. See the photos for further clarification. The items pictured are the items you will receive. These bread and butter plates will be shipped as a trackable parcel.
