This 6 PRONG mounting will hold a ROUND STONE that measures 8.5 - 9 mm in diameter. The last photo shows the mounting with an 8.5 mm stone just sitting on top, not set in the prongs. This will show you how that size will look within the ballerina setting. The shoulders of the ring are set with 2 BAGUETTE DIAMONDS of G color, VS clarity that weigh approx. .28 ctw. The circular ballerina head of the ring measures 11.25 mm at the widest diameter and the ring size is between a 7 - 7.25. The total weight is a solid feeling 5.2 grams. Your setter may have to rework the prongs in order to securely set your stone, depending on its size. This will be the case with any antique mounting that you buy from anyone.
