Shipping will include tracking number THE SPAGHETTI WESTERNS COLLECTION - VOLUME 57 1) A FEW DOLLARS FOR DJANGO (1966):A Django film in name only, it finds Anthony Steffen as Regan, a bounty hunter, who travels to Montana to see what Trevor Norton knows about the twin brother of the presumed dead outlaw leader, Jim Norton (Frank Wolff), his brother's gang and $100,000 in stolen money. Along the way he finds the body of a murdered sheriff who was on his way to Miles City. Regan takes the badge and commission and assumes the job of sheriff. He finds himself in hot water trying to stop a range war when a crooked town boss, Amos Bransbury, tries to stir up trouble between the ranchers and farmers to obtain their land. On top of this, Regan falls for Jim Norton's daughter. But Regan is up for the job, and with the help of Judge Holden (Sandalio Hernandez), he is able to stop the fighting and get his questions answered, along with getting the girl. Credited as directed by Leon Klimovsky, this is really the work of Enzo Castellari, credited as assistant director. Plenty of suspense and action make this a must see for Anthony Steffen fans. A nice score adds to the fun and a cast of Spaghetti Western regulars, and the always reliable Frank Wolff, help the film along. 2) TEN KILLERS COME FROM AFAR A.K.A. DALLAS (1974):Dallas (Anthony Steffen), along with his sidekick Lou Macone (Fernando Sancho), tries to win back an emerald mine his father lost in a card game. Dallas finds the job difficult because Kelly, the new owner, is now dead and his daughter, Glenda (Gillian Hills), doesn't play poker. Things get worse when rumors of a hidden treasure spread and several undesirables begin to show up, including the Bright Brothers headed by Doug Bright (Robert Hundar) and Hand Buster (Ricardo Palacios). To win the mine back Dallas an Lou not only have to teach Glenda poker but also protect her from both gangs who are trying to get their hands on the mine as well. This comedy was Steffen's last western. Directed by Spanish veteran Juan Bosch, aka John Wood, it's filled with many familiar faces and features Esplugas City. - Tom Betts - Westerns...All'Italiana!
