Description: MEASURES:Height : 12,6 inch ; Width: 4,33 inch ; Depth: 3,74 inch ; weight: 1,42 lbsCONDITIONS:Sculpture in excellent condition. Item Description:Fantastic sculpture in glazed terracotta and majolica on the hair, depicting a nude female torso in full Deco style. The sculpture is slightly satin on the body and richly glazed on the hair, creating a wonderful visual contrast. The work of art is numbered under the base and signed by the Austrian Goldscheider manufacture. Sculpture made by Adolf Prischl around 1937. Considering the features of our sculpture, in our opinion the sculptor was inspired by the Venus de Milo, one of the most famous Greek statues, preserved at the Louvre Museum in Paris.Useful information for the evaluation of the object:We have placed, in the photos immediately below this description, the general catalog of Goldscheider with our object, number 7936 made by Adolf Prischl for the Goldscheider factory around 1937. Immediately below, we have placed a sculpture similar in style and material, smaller than ours, depicting only the face of a woman with similar hair, while ours also depicts a large part of the body, listed at €800 - €1,000. Then we have placed a woman's torso similar in shape, but in polychrome cast ceramic, certainly of lower value than a hand-modeled terracotta sculpture like ours, listed at €750-€850. Then we put another small sculpture in Deco style only 18 centimeters high and sold for €600 excluding the 25-30% auction fee, another 25 centimeter sculpture always depicting a naked woman proposed on ebay for almost €1,800 and a small wall mask proposed for almost €900. Finally we put another Deco sculpture in polychrome cast ceramic similar in size, depicting a little girl with a puppy, proposed on Pamono for €1,500, all to give an idea of the value of the ceramics made by Adolf Prischl.Information about the artist and/or manufacturer: The Austrian Goldscheider factory was founded in 1885 by the famous entrepreneur and artist Friedrich Goldscheider and remained active until 1954. This factory is considered one of the most important manufacturers of ceramics and terracottas of the late 1800s and early 1900s in Europe, and has availed itself of the collaboration of the most important sculptors and ceramists of those times such as Lorenzl, Dakon, Knorlein, Meisinger, Goebel, Cherc, Rosè and many others. ENTER OUR EBAY SHOP .PORCELAINS, CERAMICS, TERRACOTTE, BRONZE, PAINTINGS, FURNITURE, GLASS AND MUCH MORE AS, FOR EXAMPLE: OUR COMMERCIAL POLICYAware of operating in the eBay market, our prices are often lower than the real value of the object, as often documented in our descriptions, and also lower than the prices at which very similar objects are offered on other online art sales platforms and antiques. At the same time, eBay reciprocates with the possibility of selling a high quantity of objects, so our commercial policy is to earn little for the single object, but sell a lot and therefore earn on the quantity. In fact, the asking price is always as low as possible, considering how much the item was paid for and the eBay commissions (for the sale, payment and any currency exchange: from a minimum of 15% to a maximum of 21% , according to the country in which the advertisement was made). For each object there may be multiple advertisements in different countries: USA, Italy, France, United Kingdom, etc. Any price differences are due only to changes in the exchange rate of the various currencies between when we made the advertisement and when you see it. REMEMBER TO PUT ME IN THE FOLLOWING SELLERS LISTFor any additional information or clarification we are at your complete disposal, so contact us via message here on eBay. SHIPPING WORLDWIDE - RETURN ALWAYS ACCEPTEDThe cost of packaging is also calculated in the shipping cost, and everything has increased by 19% because both ebay and paypal also take fees on the shipping cost. OUR SHIPMENTS:.Our shipments cost a little more than the average, but they are all shipments with professional packaging. Double box with a lot of bubble wrap around the object and a lot of soft material in the large cavities on all sides between the two boxes. This means that the package is much larger and heavier and therefore the cost of shipping increases, not to mention all the work necessary to carry out a similar packaging and the cost of the various materials used.
