Other mentions and formulas are found in writings from the Medieval grimoire, The Book of Abramelin (approximately 1608), to the translations by S.L. MacGregor Mathers' (then-head of the Order of the Golden Dawn) The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage (1897), to more modern writings by Aleister Crowley. This oil is primarily used for consecration, personal anointing, and in numerous aspects of the ritual arts of High Magic (Magick). It is absolutely suitable for any tradition, although it's more commonly used in ceremonial magic(k). <---- I personally use the "k" in magick, but I know that a lot of people don't. Abramelin Oil from Fabled Crow Apothecarium takes a very long time to make, but it is soooo worth it! It is made periodically in a large bottle, which I call my Mother Bottle. It's corked and then left for the herbs and spices to macerate in olive oil for a period of no fewer than 6 months. When I receive an order for Abramelin oil, I decant it directly from the Mother Bottle just before shipping it to you. When you receive it, the oil will have a golden amber color with fine particles on the bottom of the bottles. Shaking the bottle to blend the particles makes the oil look darker, which you can see in some of the photos. IMPORTANT: This formula contains no essential oils, because it's not supposed to. This is old school, y'all. It is not a strongly scented oil. It contains specific herbs and spices in very precise ratios, in pure olive oil. The scent is very light, and will remind you of a mild, warm, spicy-cinnamon smell. That is important to consider. If you are looking for a more modern and strongly fragranced formula that uses essential oils, this is not that recipe. Macerated for months using the translated Mathers' formula of herbs/spices and pure olive oil.
