Both Ada Jones and Len Spencer were masters of the comic dialect specialty. These routines are performed in a variety of dialects including Italian, Irish, German, Jewish, Afro-American, New York Bowery, and Rural. Most routines end with a short song related to the sketch. Ada Jones also made many vocal solos and recorded into the early 1920's. Len Spencer continued to record until his untimely death in 1914. This CD was made from original disc recordings. The play time is longer as these were 10” and 12” discs. There is more dialog and jokes. Some of the sound effects are also interesting on these early recordings.
