The first is "British Music", which Boult was particularly good at (the second is "Baroque & Sacred Music", and the third is "19th and 20th Century Music"). It includes symphonies and orchestral works by Vaughan Williams, as well as works by Gustav Holst, William Walton, Malcolm Arnold, George Butterworth, and more. Also included are four previously unreleased Holst recordings. Hungarian-born Matthias Saber, who later became a British citizen, "Three Fragments from 'Portrait of the Artist in His Young Days'" was recorded under Saber's own direction, with Peter Pears as the narrator. The recordings are from the 1950s and early 1960s, and almost all performances are performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, where Boult was the principal conductor at the time. 16 CD BOX set.
