Description: For Sale is a Watercolor Painting by Alfred Birdsey. Birdsey was born in England in 1916 and died in 1996 in Bermuda. He and his Family moved to Bermuda in 1919 and that's where he lived until death. He traveled the world. Birdsey is very well listed. He created beautiful Paintings of Landscapes and people in landscapes. He was one of Bermuda's first Modernist Painters. This Harbor Scape and Houses is in Bermuda. It's been in my art collection for 30+ years. He painted this in the mid 1950's - early 1960s. I kept in out of sunlight. The colors are still fresh as the day that Alfred Birdsey put them down. It measures 18" wide x 14" high, size of painting on watercolor paper. It has a double mat in medium gray (inner) and beige linen print (outer). A weathered style wood frame which measures 26" wide x 22.25" high x 1.25" deep. It is protected with glass. There is a water spot in the right corner where the gray mat meets the frame.
