Description: ............................*****SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS*****Up for grabs is this large AlNiCo magnet 12" guitar speaker....It was completely re-fabricated back to "as-new" condition by PMR in Ohio..She started life as a Jensen Du-Ax 120, and was stripped down to bare metal and magnet, resurfaced with that light green color, and then rebuilt from the inside out with all OEM AMERICAN made components. from the voice coil out to the front mounting gaskets, there are no aftermarket, replacement, or Chyna made import crap....Fellas', even if you don't buy from me- BUY AMERICAN..If you want that old "Power-Vintage" tonality, these are full of it. Great break up when you crank on it, super clean bell./chime on the clean channel, and when you slap the fuzz to it, she'll bark, bite, spit, and SCREEEEAM.using a larger Du-Ax magnetic structure, it'll take 50 watts and is an 8 ohm load. The weight is over SIX pounds, is around 7" deep over all, and has a pole plate thickness of .400"!!That's a THICK chunk of iron to impose a larger cross sectional area onto the voice coil windings, and it's BARELY over hung to keep the coil under control, even if you have the cone pumping in and out with higher power/ lower frequencies..The voice coil is a light weight aluminum former, with a solid copper winding. There is NO kraft paper wrap on this coil. It's good for 50 watts and is 8 Ohms...As far as a spider assembly, it's a treated textile, high compliance and excursion , cupped profile unit...Then, the litz wires are a COPPER composition, and has heat shrink tubing on them to remove any vibrations that could be transferred into the cone. Plus, the copper is SOOO much better at delivering all of the details, speed, sibilance and nuances in the signal, that the standard 'pot metal' silver litz wires simply can't provide. That stuff comparatively smears, smudges, and dulls the details and the space in between the notes become filled with ringing.. NOT so with the COPPER litz wires. The devil is in the details.Next, hook up is a screw type/bare wire terminal set up. they are color coded for phasing properlyThe front mounting gaskets are a repressed cardboard material, so you can rear baffle mount these units..A repressed 12 gram molded/all paper cone was used in this build. it's a ribbed/straight/conical profile, and the EDGES (not the surround) were treated with ReZon-Ex.....Just enough so that you don't have cone edge resonance issues and "ghost notes" being reflected back into the cone, yet not dampen the bell, chime, and "Earthy" sound of the clean channel tonality. The metal bell covering is included as shown, and is removable with the central machine screw. I think this one is copper...It has a couple little 'dings" in it, but still looks tremendous! The dust caps are actually old OEM Jensen repressed/smooth "Egg Crate" profile dust caps, and are quite light weight... It has that old 50's OPEM Jensen appearance. Some specs would be:Power- 50 wattsImpedance- 8 OhmsResponse- 65-5KHzSPL- 96Voice coil diameter- 1.550"That pretty much sums up what she's built with. You guys know what this stuff is.* Fully tested under full diagnostics without any rubbing, smoking, buzzing, rips, tears, or adhesive failures, it's basically a new unit again- ONLY BETTER!Plus, I'm confident enough that you'll LOVE this one, that I am including my 15 day NO GAMBLE return option from delivery date (((less customer damage))) if for ANY REASON you don't like it, or you dis-agree with anything I just typed. So, if you want that P12P performance, plus a little more, but without the $240 price tag, then here ya' go!ANY questions or concerns, just ask.THANKS GUYS!!!
