Description: "Molly's Umbrella and Galoshes" #MWOA were manufactured for the 18" American Girl historical character doll Molly McIntire in China for the Pleasant Company as part of "Molly's Winter Collection." Introduced in 1987, they were retired in 2007. These accessories were purchased by their original owner in 1998. Molly's umbrella and galoshes are unused and complete with umbrella and boots. Included are their original white box with "The American Girls Collection" banner tagged "MWOA" and a "Molly's Winter Story" brochure. The umbrella and galoshes accessories present a fascinating glimpse into the clothing styles and customs of young girls at the end of the World War II era and into the early post-war years.
