Description: Handmade Lampwork beads are made one at a time by heating a cane or rod of glass over a flame torch and then applying the molten glass around a mandrel. The bead is held over the flame while it is worked on and cooled slowly to strengthen the glass. It takes a lot of skill to keep the bead from losing its shape and the adding of other colors in swirls or flowers demands much concentration. These beads are a very well-matched set of beads with the basic glass being a clear gold color. Circling around each bead is some pattern of Dark brown, Tan and Fine lines of Black.
