This is a Lone Star quilt that is gorgeous. Our camera doesn't do it much justice really - Burgundy with pink floral and hundreds of pattern triangles - all sewn together by hand. We tried to take a close up of the stitching as well. A traditional lone star is a beautiful, traditional American Folk Art piece. Also known as the "Star of Bethlehem" - this is one of the most often seen styles of Amish Quilts. The star should show signs of radiating from the center 'outward'. It also should be an 8 pointed star. Every piece of fabric in this quilt - hand cut and quilted by hand. This is truly a finely crafted American functional Folk Art cover that will last more than a lifetime!
