A striking twin handled piece, this vase features delicate pate sur pate prunus blossom to the body, with sharply incised geometric fans above and below, and to the lid. Finished off with 2 highly ornate scrolling handles with leaf terminals. Probably Eliza Simmance's most recognisable design from the peak of her Victorian period, and highly sought after. Stands an impressive 12" tall x 8" across. Stamped Doulton Lambeth mark with England. Incised ES 418 mark with assistant R as shown. A wonderful, elegant vase presented for sale in excellent condition, no damage and no repair whatsoever. There is a shallow firing line to the underside of the foot rim from manufacture (not seen).
