Description: So after doing some research, here's the deal with these interesting fellas. Apparently, decades ago, people would sometimes fiddle with coins by tapping them around the edges with a spoon or other hard tool. Over time, the softer silver would push in toward the center of the coin, creating a raised edge like you see here. This became known as "spooning." Sometimes this would be done until the rim was wide enough and then a drill or hole punch would be used to remove the metal in the center to create a silver ring. One of these is a 1964 and the other I think is a 1941 (hard to tell). High-resolution photos provided so you can judge the condition for yourself. This would be a neat addition to a collection of coin oddities. Not really sure what it's worth, so I guessed at a price, but feel free to send a reasonable offer or ask questions. Thanks for looking.
