Description: Presented is a neat, English sterling silver tea caddy scoop made in Birmingham in 1803. The bowl is octagonal and has an interesting raised bead and line design. The coffin-end handle is hand chased and engraved with leaf decorations over a stippled background. This is a wonderful quality piece. The handle is marked with the anchor mark for Birmingham, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of King George III’s head, a date letter f for the year 1803 and an unknown maker’s mark of L & A. This piece is in excellent overall condition and the designs are very crisp. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs. The scoop measures 3 inches long and weighs 7.5 grams. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
