Description: Antique 1888 LONDON BRIDGE signed H. Walkey C.O.P. British oil painting A Full Moon over London Bridge illuminating the hectic night time activities of London in the Late Victorian period. Somewhat illustrative in style. I've owned it for a dozen years or so and have not found any info about the artist "H. Walkey", however I believe C.O.P. means Constable On Patrol, i.e. he was a Cop. Love the drama. Condition: As found. Notable issues: Area of paint loss left of the moon. Small area of canvas abrasion damage and paint loss at lower center. Small spot of paint loss at top right.
