Description: For sale is an Antique 18th century early 19th century American hand carved bird eye maple wood butter paddle/wooden scoop with the classical broad scoop and a raised heel handle. It is a very large and broad example of its kind. It measures approximately 10” long and 5” wide. You can see very dense and beautifully arranged “bird eye” pattern on the handle as well as the board paddle surface. It is in good overall condition. There is a small nick on the rim. See the last photo where I point it out. There are other age appropriate wears to the surface and natural imperfections in the wood. Please check all photos for detailed condition.
