Description: Description 0016050 Antique 19thC French Sewing Etui, Grand Tour MOP Palais RoyalA lovely Antique French Paris Royal Sewing Etui. The Etui is made from Mother of Pearl Sea Shell and has a bird finial. To open it you press the bird and the sides pop open, one side is lower than the other. The center has a place for several small sewing or vanity tools, it didn't come with any. Overall dimensions are 7 1/4" high x 4 1/2" x 3" at the marble/alabaster base. The Etui is in very good overall condition. It is a little loose from the base which is simply attached with little curls of metal. There is some wear to the gilt gold.
