The rim is not ground but does have the common chipping and flaking. Even then the piece looks great and does not affect the look or structure at all. The color is extremely bright with some surface wear and build up but even then as seen is very beautiful. The embossed print is bold and can be see and read.There is many tens of thousands of tiny air bubbles covering the jar. The lid and seal are NOS. There is an extremely heavy hammered look tom the whole jar. There is many, many beautiful straw marks on the glass giving it a very nice look.This really as seen is a beautiful looking jar.
