Description: For sale is this caricature painting of a man on his deathbed being accosted by his churchwarden with the account books. It is a watercolour on paper and was painted by John Partridge Tharp (1799-1867). There is a label on the back of the painting with the title and artist. The artist's dates are from another painting I bought from the same source. I would guess this was painted between 1830 and 1850. It is framed in a later stained pine frame with gold lip which measures about 8 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches. The painting is in good condition with strong colours. A couple of foxing spots on the lower part of the painting. Minor wear and paint flecks on the frame. It's an interesting historical relic and presents well. Please refer to photos and feel free to ask questions; I usually get back to you quickly! Shipping will be free within the UK. There is a reasonable shipping charge for foreign buyers, but I will consolidate multiple items for one low price. The items I sell are fully guaranteed to be as I have described them. I often go on buying trips in the U.K. and to France so keep checking my page. I happily accept returns if you are dissatisfied with an item. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
