Description: The following auction is for a vintage unmarked heavy duty cleaver. It is used. It is very, very dirty and needs to be cleaned up. It has scratches, scuffs and wear on it. It also looks like someone used a buffing wheel or something on it. It has rust on it, but it also has swirls like someone tried to buff it off. It was used at one point in its lifetime. The cleaver is bolted through the handle and has a nut on the end. It has some chips in the wood handle. It does seem tight and not wobbling around. The cleaver has some dings and marks on it. Some are on the edges. The blade is going to need to be sharpened up. It is kind of sharp, but it looks like someone ground a bit on it. It will most likely need leveled off. I think it is carbon steel, but am not positive. It weighs about 1 lb 12 oz. before packaging. It measures about 13 inches from the top of blade to bottom of the bolt. The blade surface measures a little under 7 inches long. It will need some cleaning up and polishing/sharpening. It does still seem quite sturdy. You get the exact lot pictured. LOT 7818
