Description: Antique COORS GOLDEN Malted Milk 25lb. Advertising Tin, Beer Co. Colorado AS IS Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE COORS MALTED MILK TIN If you are looking for a display tin, and don't care so much about the shabby condition, this is the one! Featuring a large lithograph metal tin measuring about 13-1/2" tall and 9" square, it advertises COORS GOLDEN MALTED MILK, Manufactured by Adolph Coors Company, Golden - Denver Colorado USA - company is most known for their Coors Beer. Believe it dates to around 1920s, when alcohol was banned due to prohibition - the company produced malted milk (largest consumption from Hershey's). Once holding 25 pounds of product, it is empty and complete with the original lid (note this is a pry off - I did not try to remove) - lid bears instructions on how to keep the product dry. Condition is very worn ... there is spotting, scratching and scuffing on all four sides, the lid is uneven and sits deeper into the tin on one side - probably from dropping - the bottom has edge rust with one side and bottom bearing a large open area as shown - for display, two sides are good as shown. I think it is such a cool piece - I purchased it in Estes Park, Colorado in the 1970s - it is an awesome display piece and priced with the condition in mind - sold AS IS.
