Description: A very unique design with it's SCOPE at the top front of blade. This allows the user to keep the saw parallel with the ground when in use. The blade is dated with PATENT JULY 7, 1886. Also on the blade reads "Our A1 blade with perfection handle adapted for rapidity and care in cutting." The initials D.L. were carved into this wooden handle probably over 100 years ago. Elias C. Atkins' company went out of business in 1944.
