Description: ANTIQUE ERNST GIDEON BEK STERLING SILVER MESH PURSE What a beautiful sterling silver mesh purse. This purse was manufactured by The Ernst Gideon Bek Company, Germany. The purse is in excellent condition. The Bek Company manufactured in Pforzheim, Germany and was quite well known for mesh purses. These purses were sold in this country by Binder Bros. Inc., New York. Binder Bros. eventually bought out the Bek Company. This purse has the initials 'L.A.G.' engraved on the engraving plate on the front of the purse. Inside is engraved with 'Mrs. H.W. Goerner'. Maybe owned by two different individuals. The purse has a height of 5.25 inches and a width of 5 inches. This purse has kiss lock clasps. Inside it is also stamped with the butterfly trademark and sterling. This purse has a manufacturing circa date of 1910.
