Antique French Indienne Tribal Floral Animals Cotton Fabric~ Orange Red Olive

Description: What an absolutely amazing find. Gorgeous French Indienne inspired interiors cotton in a marvelous pattern. Incredibly unique design for it's time period. Very much in the realm of scenes seen in early mezzaro textiles so has a lot of 18thc/ early 19thc indienne influence. Strikes you as more of a retro textile initially but this one I feel is earlier, mid century or before & could possibly go into the 20s-40s range. is closer to the 20's-40's time frame. Mid density interiors weight cotton. The scale is overall larger. Reds, orange olive, ochre. The base wants to appear white but is cream/natural in person. Very transitional into more modern settings, boho/bohemian chic etc.. I can visualize this in so many interior settings including dens and offices. And so perfect for pillow making, bags, patchwork, clothing elements, millinery, light upholstery etc..A wonderful textile added to a collection. Unused and so well maintained through the years. An amazing piece of French textile printing history & in unused yardage. ***Measures~ 32 1/2" wide and being sold by the yard which I can keep continuous for multiples.
