Description: Offered is this beautiful antique porcelain oyster plate. Made by G. Mansars between 1830-1850 in Paris, France. This antique oyster plate is very beautiful for being so old. It features 6 wells for oysters and a center well for lemon or sauce. The oyster wells are purplish-pink with a luster hue. In between each oyster well are green and gold conical shells and a red and gold fan shell that finishes the edge of the rim.The center well has a pinky-purple and gold MW monogram with a gold rim, just beautiful. It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. It has light wear on the high parts of the shells, and some gold wear on the rim which is normal for a plate this old. It measures 9.25 inches wide. A beautiful antique for your collection.
