Antique French Paris Grand Tour Souvenir Tray, 7 Eglomise Monument Views c.1880

Description: For your consideration we have this circa 1880 Grand Tour eglomise calling card tray. Seven panels of back-painted glass views of Paris monuments, mounted in brass with fringe all around (some missing here or there). It is oval in shape and is centered by the Arc de Triomph. The 6 scenes around it, each a small round scene, shows monuments of Paris that a tourist would want to remember in the 19th Century, Notre Dame, The Louvre, Pantheon, and more. It is in vintage condition, original patina...not polished. The brass framework has no breaks, just the base is a bit mis-shapened. No cracks to the glass panel just a bit of loss here or there to the pictures (see close ups for evaluation). It measures 7 1/2 inches long, 6 inches wide and stands about 2 1/2 inches high. A very nice piece, especially for the Grand Tour collector. Shipping weight, well packed, is 1 1/2 lbs. Insurance has been added to the shipping cost as per Ebay's mandate.
